Financial Donations
Gassaway Public Library is a non-profit library that is founded primarily through state taxes, town funds, local organizations, grants, and donations from community members. Over half of our annual budget comes from the local community. Financial contributions of any kind are always welcome and help the library continue to serve the community.
Book Donations
Gassaway Public Library accepts donations of books, DVDs, audiobooks, and magazines. Donations can be from any year but should be in good condition without water damage, mold, stains, or rips. We do not accept dictionaries and encylopedias. All donations help the library by helping us add to our collection, replace damaged books in our library, fill our book sale, and provide free books for patrons. Donations can be dropped off only during library hours.
Kroger Community Rewards
West Virginia residents can support Gassaway Public Library by enrolling with Kroger Community Rewards. A portion of purchases at Kroger is automatically donated to the library every quarter at no additional cost to the customer.

Gift Books
Honor someone special with a donation to Gassaway Public Library! We’ll print your loved one’s name and a personalized message inside a book that will be part of our circulating collection.
Here’s how it works:
Choose the person you’d like to honor and provide an optional short message. While we can’t guarantee the exact book their name will appear in, we’ll do our best to honor any preferences.
After making your donation, you can request a card to present to your recipient. Starting in May 2025, a list of completed gift books will be available at the front desk for reference.
